We are looking for an experienced and talented System Validation Leader to drive our hardware, software & systems validation, assuring the quality of our space-computing cutting edge products. This role will drive the validation of the company’s product portfolio, leading a group of HQA, SQA and system validation engineers, gatekeeping Ramon.Space’s deliveries and releases to customers. The role will report to the Vice President of Engineering and manage a team of seasoned experts and junior engineers – recruiting, growing and mentoring the team, while directing the cross-org validation efforts, defining and implementing validation methodologies, overseeing test plans and procedures, cooperating with Marketing, System and R&D engineers and managers while leading the execution of validation both internally and in external accredited labs.

What you will be doing

  • Oversee the company’s Systems Validation activities
  • Define the validation processes, methodologies and practices
  • Hire and develop talent, manage the Validation Group and contract resources to fulfill the organization’s validation needs and capabilities
  • Develop, review and implement test procedures and processes to validate systems conforming requirements (functional, performance, stress or others), including certification and regulation.
  • Lead the preparation, delivery, and maintenance activities related to the Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) ensuring test coverage against System Specifications and Product Requirements, meeting company’s high-quality assurance standards.
  • Create, review, develop, implement and validate Test Plans, and execute them in light of projects needs and schedule
  • Develop clear and timely reporting dashboard maintained by the group members to support internal managerial decision making and meet customer needs.
  • Develop and design lab test setup, Automatic Test Environments, and Manufacturing including definition & procurement of test equipment & tools
  • Ensure the creation and presentation of clear test reports and other relevant formal documents and processes (Release Notes, ECOs, Qualification, etc.)
  • Manage the hardware and software bugs reporting, monitoring and closure (after validating the bug fix).

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Electronics / Computer / Software Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in Validation Group Management
  • Experience in validation of integrated HW/SW platforms/systems
  • Demonstrated understanding of system validation tools, methodologies, best practices and labs test equipment
  • Hands-on experience with manual and automatic test environments including Python scripting know-how
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
