We are looking for a talented Field Application Engineer who is passionate about building and implementing solutions for complex space missions. He/she will be responsible for managing the technology evaluation, validation, solution architecture and design stages in our application process. This is a customer-facing role, owning the overall technical relationship between our key customers and Ramon.Space storage and computing platforms. Come explore space with us!
What you will be doing….
- Implement microcontroller and/or processor solutions to customers
- Lead customers in requirements gathering, definition, designing, and hands-on storage/ communication system implementation
- Ensure successful delivery of our space storage systems throughout the entire program lifecycle
- Perform troubleshooting on issues and perform tests on bugs
- Work with business and technology stakeholders to ensure customer requirements are met
- Become Ramon.Space technology and solutions expert, transferring customer needs into customized solutions
- Present technical solutions and demos to prospective space customers and partners
- Provide technical support to customer and configure customer’s services to ensure operability
- Provide prompt and thorough technical support for on-going design activity
- Work closely with sales and business development teams on customer and market engagements to align proper product offering to end customer opportunities
- Keep up to date with emerging trends in all relevant areas of space
- Work with marketing team to develop influential white papers/presentations
- Present at technical conferences and facilitate product specific customer training sessions
- Travel to multiple locations for customer engagements
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in technical related role in storage or communication systems
- 5 years of experience in a similar role defining architecture, designs and solutions in computing, storage or communication systems. Prior experience in space technology is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related technical degree
- Demonstrated success as a technical lead for complex system architectures
- Can-do attitude for resolving problems, programming, complexity analytics and large-scale system design
- Experience working with customers in all stages of the program lifecycle
- Exceptional presentation and written communication skills
- Build strong, influential technical relationships with the customer (via face-to-face and remote interaction) in order to secure commitment
- Drive customer requirements into products roadmap and product planning processes
- Ability to work and operate in a highly dynamic environment
- Ability to work concurrently with multiple groups in the organization
- Hardware troubleshooting skills using an oscilloscope, logic analyzers, and signal generators
